Wells Fargo Bank account or service department,

Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Florida

I have overdraft protection on my bank account, yet my bank does not honor it. I understand that the bank still charges an overdraft fee, buy are n't they supposed to therefore cover the payment that caused the overdraft? All I want from this service is for it to protect me from being charged twice, once by bank, and second from business check or transaction was made out to. Am I wrong, or is n't this what overdraft protection for?
