Delinquent account

Credit Card Receivables Fund Incorporated Credit card department,

Delinquent account Michigan

I have had a - - account since -. My account has always been current - as a - student- and professional. My current balance is $19000.00. I was laid off from my job in -, -. I contacted - regarding my job status in -, - and let you know that I would be living off my bi-monthly unemployment benefits for the unforeseeable future. In the meantime, I would continue my fervent job hunt. At that time, I set up a monthly payment plan of $97.00 for three months in which no interest, late fees or over -the- credit- line fees would be applied. I also agreed to close my account for the time being. I asked what would happen after three months if I had not found a job yet and the representative assured me that we would continue the agreement- if need be. Three months later, after having made my monthly payments - I still had not found a job yet. So I indicated that I would like to continue with our new agreement. However, the representative informed me that I could no longer continue the $ 97 monthly payments and I would need to pay at least $190.00 a month going forward. I was unable to afford to pay $190.00 at this time. In fact, given my living expenses - I would be unable to live if I paid more than $97.00 a month. - did not care about this. They were totally unwilling to continue my payment plan. They wanted what they wanted. Period. It is now - and - sold my debt to Unifund CCR , LLC in -, OH. I am still unemployed and they served me court papers recently informing me that Unifund is suing me for approx. $22000.00. I just mailed in my response to the court. Can the CFPB help me with this crucial matter?
