Wells Fargo Consumer loan department,
Vehicle loan Taking out the loan or lease California
On - -, 2015 my husband and I traded in our vehicle which still had a loan with Wells Fargo but had equity and used it as a down payment on a new vehicle. We traded it into the dealership - - in - -, CA. Two months later we bang receiving collection calls from Wells Fargo stating that we were behind - payments. I informed them that we had traded the vehicle in and they stated that it had not yet been paid and was now being reported as delinquent to our credit. We kept trying to get in contact with the dealership but all they would say is that we were no longer liable and they would look into payment. On - -, 2015 Wells Fargo received a payment from - - for all but $83.00 of the balance of our trade in. When we contacted the dealership about this they said that the lady that handles the pay offs will be out of town for - weeks. In the meantime, we continue to receive numerous collection calls and our credit is still suffering because of it. Neither Wells Fargo or - - will help us with getting this resolved and expect us to pay this amount to stop the collection calls. While it is a small amount, it is unfair to force us to pay the penalty because of - - mistake. It is also not right that our credit is now showing delinquency because - - did not take care of their responsibility.
