Dear CFPB, I am asking you for assistance to intervene on my behalf concerning willful non-compliance within a reasonable time '' by Citi Bank-Direct. refusing to remove, by law, a proven fraudulent credit profile account off my credit reports. This unauthorized account is a red flag that is damaging my credit record ; which is a violation of my rights pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In circumstance, I provided my name, address, and social security number, demanding within - 10 - ten business days, via certified mail Number : - - - - -, on - for the creditor to provide me a copy of the original application bearing my signature, giving authorization to pull my credit history so that I may forward it to the police authorities for investigation. The creditor has willfully not complied with my request. I have never received any benefit directly or indirectly from the fraudulent transaction - - ). Any signature is a forgery and was made without my knowledge ; perhaps due to consumers having similar names and/ or social security numbers. I look forward to you helping me in this matter.
