I am being garnished by a collection agency identified as Account Control Technology. -, CA. -. The above listed company failed to notify me regarding the intent to garnish my wages. As a result this garnishment has caused financial hardship leading to an intent to evict from my apartment and loss of medical benefits. I have a medical condition that could cost me loss of vision and have been greatly stressed over this financial hardship. The company has failed and refused to send me legal documentation regarding the nature of the loan. The company initially identified itself as part of an Obama program and in association with Federal loan servicing, after doing much research this company is not a part of either program. They did not identify themselves as a collection agency. I am facing the loss of my home and - because the garnishment is causing a financial hardship. They keep trying to get me to agree to a verbal contract. I have requested written documentation and as of this date have not received any legal documentation from this company. I do not understand how anyone could expect me to agree to a phone contract when they have been deceptive in their approach and are refusing to send legal documentation. I realize that their only concern is to make a profit for themselves but this should not cause me to become homeless or loose my -. My housing and - are very important. I have been on the - because I can not understand how a company could garnish wages to cause homelessness and -. There are many options regarding students loans that could have been utilized had I been given the chance. Your consideration in this matter is greatly appreciated.
