JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
I used my Chase card many times and was careful to call, many times, to make sure what I intended to happen, would happen. I used the card to charge, and was told that if I paid anything over the minimum payment, the remainder would be applied on balances with higher interest rates OR if I used a balance transfer from another company, the higher interest items would be transferred. I did several balance transfers, the last being around -/-/- and started to enjoy the 0 % interest, which I paid for with balance transfer fees. I had a couple of these and the least amount of time I had was 15 months before it went onto regular interest charges. In - Chase insisted first : that I had defaulted on a payment and ALL fees were now at 14.94 %. In all the years I have had Chase, I have NEVER been late or defaulted. Never happened. In the first - communications I instigated to them, I was told the rote statement ... ... .that once I defaulted, all the charges would go to higher percentage. All - calls and it did not matter when I spoke to a
time '' on my transfers and ( 2 ) that I was ever late or defaulted. One year from -/-/- to -/-/-. There were more phone calls FROM me to them, messages on the statement inbox, all to no avail. Now, after one year, with the debt going from $ 8,000.00+ to $ 14,000.00+ because of the fees and 14.94 % interest they have wrongly charged me, I get a statement of maybe - pages and you know what?? I find NOTHING that substantiates their claim. I NEVER defaulted, I was NEVER late and my 0 % transfers were good for the 15+ months I expected. So, where does that leave me. No cover letter or call explaining where they are getting this wrong info from ... ... ... ..just the statements. -, I could have printed the statements myself. I suspect they are scamming me to try and get an extra $ 6,000.00+ dollars from me when they are wrong. I have another Chase card and I pay it religiously, just like my other cards. Period. Thanks for listening to this and I can tell you, I am sick of it but do not owe it. They offered to settle with me for $ 11,000.00+ dollars ... ... ... ... really? I owed $8000.00 and they have still not explained how they came up with this wrong info.
