after repeated attempts to contact collection company they finally called back. when I requested documentation showing this is a real and valid debt. they refused to provide it and said i had to chase it down. They are legally required to provide proof showing exactly what they are collecting for and when debts were incurred. I then told them to not call me back unless they can provide documented proof this is a real and valid debt and not some kind of scam. this - - then proceeded to tell me that she can call continue to call me everyday until i pay. she also told me she is going to report this on my credit report unless i pay within - day. this is all without providing any proof i owe the debt. About - weeks later i received another call from a - who claims i never made the statement about only calling if they can provide the documents. she also tried getting me to pay without proof. i informed her that she can not contact me without proof and if they continue to harrass me i will contact a lawyer about these tactics. they were pushy and rude and i feel this is a scam to trick me out of my money.
