Credit card Taking/threatening an illegal action Threatened to sue on too old debt Florida
P & L Acquisitions sent me a letter dated - -, 2015 saying that I owed over $4000.00 for a credit card that had been charged off over 5 years ago. The orignal balance was $750.00. The statute of limitations has long passed in - ( the location of the credit card company ) and - ( the state I reside in ). I have sent a letter to the agency stating so and that they are no longer able to legally collect on this debt. I have received - letters and numerous phone calls about this debt. In the most recent letter, I have been threatened with legal action if I do not pay the debt in full within 30 days. I am waiting to hear back from P & L Acquisitions.
