Chase bank denied me credit on an application for a - credit card with the reference number - after citing my bankruptcy '' from 2012 as the issue for denial. Yet, on the application they specifically asked whether or not the applicants has any bankruptcies on their credit file and I checked the box for YES and yet they still placed an inquiry on my credit report and proceeded to deny me for having a bankruptcy. I believe that this is extremely deceptive and hurtful to my FICO score. They were deceptive in their application process and misled me to believe that I would qualify for a credit card with a bankruptcy reported on my account as long as the FICO score, annual income and credit history was acceptable. My FICO score is - which is exceptionally and my annual income is $80000.00 which is more than suffcient to have this card. The reason for denying me credit was extremely malicious and had I known that they would deny me on the grounds of a bankruptcy, which they already knew I had, I would never have applied. When i called CHASE to complain about this deceptive behavior on their part they then proceeded to tell me that in fact i was denied due to inquiries on my report. That is also not true, I have only - inquiries, - of which was placed by them unnecessary. Knowing i have a bankruptcy, which is old, Chase should NEVER have placed an inquiry on my report since that was the REASOn they gave me for rejecting my application. As a result of their unnecesary inquiry my FICO scores have dropped - points!
