Citibank Credit card department,
Credit line increase/decrease New York
I am attempting to increase my credit line on a credit card from Citi. Citi representatives tell me that - is telling them I have a security freeze. In order to get control of this, I actually placed a security freeze so that - would mail me a PIN. I got the PIN, then paid Experian to remove the freeze ( $5.00 ). Several hours later, I attempted to remove the freeze again, but - told me no freeze was in place. ( See screenshot document, attached. ) On calling Citi again, they again told me there is a freeze in place. This time, however, they said the freeze is in place due to state legislation ''. I can find no reference to any security freeze that would be in place due to any legislation. I have no outstanding debt or litigation against me. So apparently there is a security freeze on my report, which is NOT requested by me, and which I can not remove, due to some unknown legislation. Can you help?
