My husband and his previous deceased wife have a collection on his credit report from -/-/-. I called the collection company 'Outsource ' to get information on his report. They now have that collection debt on my credit report! I called the company about my credit report and that the debt is not mine - this occurred in -/-/- and I married my husband in -/-/-. They did agree and stated that they would remove it from my credit report. This was on -/-/-. They informed me to check my credit the next week and it would be removed. '' I again checked my credit report on -/-/- and it was not removed. Again I called the collection company 'Outsource ' and again the manager agreed that it should be removed and they would have it removed as soon as possible. I did question their process because they stated they had given information for it to be removed from my credit report previously, but it had not been removed. Checking my credit report today - I am showing that the collection is still on my report and has not been removed and I am showing that -/-/- was the date it was reported. ( I am assuming this was the updated date of any information from the company ). If they are reporting ANY information in a timely manner, would it not be removed by now? This has greatly impacted my score - it has dropped --+ points! Will this be corrected? Thank you, - -
