JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
I obtained a Chase Freedom card, with an offer of 0 % interest for the first year. I was encouraged to take overdraft protection ; I was told that this overdraft protection would reduce the fee in half. I was never told anything about interest, and was told to sign a waver. I asked, whats the catch. '' No catch '' the clerk said, just lower fees in overdraft. There was a catch. That zero percent interest did n't apply to fees. Apparently I was paying interest every single month on those fees. It cost me hundreds of dollars again. The entire program was designed around defrauding people who do n't think this far into it, are inexperienced with credit cards, and would n't think to look at whether interest applies here.
