To begin with I received the following mailer in - 2015 - '' Exclusively for Marriott Rewards Members - Elite - Program offering - bonus points with the Chase Visa Credit Card when you spend $2000.00 in the first 3 months '' - Around the middle of - I called the toll free number - and requested for the Marriott Visa Card. The Lady accepted my request and applied for the Chase Visa Credit Card from Marriott Rewards ( subject to approval ) and said that I should receive the card in 1-2 weeks. I clearly discussed the - bonus point option offered by this program and expressed the fact that the only reason I am applying for this Card is because I will spend the $2000.00 within the first 3 months/billing cycle and want to avail the - elite points on my Marriott Rewards card. I received the new Marriot Visa Card from Chase around - - by first class mail. I called to activate the Card on - - and started spending on the card. From - - through - - I made purchases in the amounts of over $6000.00 - BUT TO MY SURPRISE I was only
more weeks. On - - I again double checked and called back to talk to the manager - who said that he is going to send an email right away requesting for the additional - points. Nothing happened after that - So once again I called both the Chase Card Customer service and requested for a manager. The super visor - came on the call and said that I had signed up for the $1000.00 / - Bonus Points program and not the - program - which is NOT TRUE because the number I called ( given in the mailer above was dedicated for the - program ). So I called the same number - again and put both the parties in Speaker and clarified the fact that this number which I had called in -/-/- to sign up for this Marriott Card is dedicated for the - program and so I did not do anything wrong on my part. I have been with Marriott Rewards as a Platinum member for over 7 years as I used to travel every week. Last - years due to the nature of my contract I was working remotely 95 % of the time hence my Marriott Status dropped down and the only reason why I signed up for this program is to hike the points/status. I find this simply a utter mis-communication between - and Chase and I should not be the one suffering for this. My Rewards number is - and my contact number is -
