I received a texted phone number on my phone. I called and it was Wells Fargo Bank asking if I wanted to reopen the credit card application. I stated I did not apply or open a credit card account with their bank. I was asked a series of personal questions to validate my identity. I only answered yes and that was my phone number which matched what they had. The other information was not me. The bank representative stated I contact my bank and all the credit bureau to place an alert. I proceeded and put an alert on my developed credit. No other transactions were done to my credit cards or any other accounts.
