I was n't sure which category this complaint would fall under. I had a debt with - Hospital that I had a payment plan with and fell behind. They sent it to collections. I understand that. The collection agency called me and we negotiated back and forth about a payment plan. The next day ( today ) a hard inquiry is showing on my credit report for an installment loan with the collection agency. I did n't agree to anyone pulling my credit and I absolutely did n't agree to my payment plan '' being an installment loan. I 'm in the middle of buying a house and I would not have had anyone pull my credit or put an installment loan on my credit. I was never advised I was going into a committed installment loan and did n't authorize my credit to be pulled.
