Credit card Taking/threatening an illegal action Threatened to sue on too old debt New York

This collector, Western Portfolio Assets, - - -, called my daughter, my ex-husband and me threatening to sue for a credit card bill from -/-/- or -/-/-, he could n't make up his mind. Then he called and terrorized my ex-husband who agreed to pay $250.00 and committed me to another $250.00 the following week. - - called my job and my cell - times within - hour. He also had a process server call my job, my cell and my office manager. I never authorized contacting me at work. I paid $750.00 and although asking several times for proof of debt. I emailed and faxed - - requesting this information only to receive a form for me to sign which would authorize him to take money from my account. I never signed the document, altho he took - payments ( $760.00 ) and - payment by prepaid debit card from my ex-husband ( $250.00 ).
