JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
I was traveling in - in - 2015, where I decided to make some purchases. Prior to making the purchase I wanted to verify that my Chase credit card would not have any foreign transaction fee so I contact their customer service department to verify the information.. The customer service representative at Chase informed me that there will be no foreign transaction fee since I informed her that - - dollar is pegged to - - dollar ( meaning dollar for dollar ). The Chase service representative did not give a clear concise correct information when inquired about the fee. Based upon the now erroneous answer from the Chase customer service representative, I made the purchase using the Chase credit card. Imagine my surprise when I received the statement following month when there is over $880.00 in foreign transaction fee from Chase credit card. I have requested from Chase to review the telephone transcript from - -, 2015 and credit my account for the errors attributed by their employee, but Chase has refused to do so. I have also requested copies of the transcript of the phone conversation I had with the Chase customer service representative on - -, 2015 but Chase also refused that request. I feel that Chase credit card is at fault for relaying the wrong and confusing statement and now they wo n't even release the transcript of the phone conversation because the truth will expose their fault.
