Incorrect information on credit report Account status Texas

I have been trying for over a year to get information correctly reported regarding a foreclosed and sold home. The creditor (Caliber Home Loans) has constantly informed me that they are not reporting a balance on the loan even though I have given them proof to the contrary. - is reporting the amount with a balance and a past due and refuses to remove the incorrect information. This has done great harm to my family and me, as it has artificially depressed my credit rating for some time causing me to be denied credit and forced to pay greater interest rates on purchases. I am certain that common sense should apply here, but up to this point it is non-existent.
