In 2008, I was offered a credit card from Wells Fargo Bank. I excepted the credit card incase of emergencies and went over the particulars with a personal banker. One of the topics was rather I wanted to have it linked to overdraft perfection ; I declined to have it linked to overdraft protection as I used a saving account for this. I also knew that if attached to my credit card that interest would build on overdrafts and any fees. I attempted to use the card during an emergency sometime in 2008 after never using it and found out that the credit card was full in the amount of $800.00. I contacted the bank and they told me it was link to my overdraft and that is why it has the amount of $800.00. I took responsibility as my car insurance came out and I used my debit card for about 2 days not knowing it was over drawn. Wells Fargo charged me fees on top of using my credit card which I never allowed them to use for overdrafts. If It was set up to my savings account like I had requested, the money would have been taken


this bill as I continued to try and dispute it but they would not help in any way. I have been paying on this credit card and have it almost paid off. During this time I was still disputing these charges and about a year ago I did not want to pay anymore until they worked with me as this was unlawfully and unknowingly attached to me account and the card has a really high interest rate. During this time they sent it to collections and I am now having issues with my credit and obtaining any financing. I am and have been willing to pay my over drafts and even the fee that would have been placed to my savings account. I have now paid - 's of dollars in overdraft fees and high interest due to this banks negligence to monitor what their personal bankers do to receive there quotas. I have no problem paying the card off at this point but I do n't deserve to have this negatively affecting my credit as I have paid them over a - 's in interest and fess that I should have never even had to begin with. ( fraud )
