Wells Fargo Student loan department,
Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer California
I took out a private student loan from Wells Fargo Bank with my mom as a co-signer. This loan is to fund a - program at - - University in -, CA. The loan is now in default, but I made an agreement to still pay monthly payments of $ -/month. However, I stopped the automatic payments for a few months, but then made another agreement to lower the payments to $ -/mth. Apparently, I forgot to cancel the stop payment order with my bank and then Wells Fargo was not able to obtain the automatic payments from my bank. A few months later, Wells Fargo Bank took out $1100.00 from my Mom 's bank, who is the co-signer of the loan without her or my consent or permission to do so. They simply just took out the $1100.00 from my mom 's bank because she is the co-signer and we are not able to get that money back even after many talks with them. Is there a way to get the money back they they took out?
