JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
Credit line increase/decrease California
Although I have been an excellent customer of Chase for many years, and have not missed a payment nor exceeded my credit limit, they have decided to reduce my limit from - to -. They claim this is due to too many other accounts and high balances, however it is not fair represent a credit limit as - amount and then as I get closer to the limit change it to a lower amount! Did I ever really have a limit of - if as soon as I spend - toward it it shrinks down? This is deceptive and the decision for my limit should be based solely on my good relationship with Chase and not on whatever may happen with other cards I hold. Plus, as a result of their decision, my credit score will drop further now that I am much closer to the total amount of available credit. This needs to be fixed and reversed.
