- - -, -, named the - fastest growing privately held company in the US, is the latest in a series of recovery agencies purchasing old WF long time closed credit card debt. In my case, they took me to court to profit on a ( most likely bundled instrument ). I have consistently asked for the purchase price '' they paid, through the law group they hired, and - or - refuse to give me that information. - hired lawyers. There is a court ordered settlement hearing tomorrow, and then the case is scheduled to go to trial. Are they allowed to profit on me, -, when I have no means to pay, the loan was written off by a bank that got bail-out funds relevant to the 2008 crisis, around the same time period. Were I to be able to come by funds to end the case, those same funds would find more prudent social
entity '', they face their potential demise? And at bare minimum, why are the consumers not given the right to KNOW what their supposed debt is sold for, so they have lower cost options for resolution if desired versus for profit '' agencies : the option to borrow money from a friend or get assistance from a nonprofit to prevent or end legal harassment for profit. This seems a reasonable option for folks seriously harmed by debt. Prevent stressful ordeals at that opportunistic bundled purchased price when requested. I have no lawyer, and like many Americans, can not afford -. Can your agency help? Is there policy or law in effect I do not know about concerning this issue? Is there policy being written for - to be able cancel debt, at the price it 's being sold at to for profit '' collection agencies?
