Vehicle lease Problems when you are unable to pay Michigan
The following complaint is against Gateway Financial Services at -, MI for not sold a car in a commercially reasonable manner. I bought a - Chrysler Voyage with approximated - miles with auto lease from Gateway Financial Services in -, -. Having a financial hardship during -/-/--/-/-, I decided to voluntary surrender the car with Gateway Financial Services. At that time, I could not afford to make payments to the car. I surrender the car with - miles in good conditions at -, -. The outstanding balance was $8600.00 at -, -. After surrendered the car, I received a letter to notify me a deficiency balance for $8500.00 because the car was sold by only $510.00. This is really suspicious since the car value was at least - times more, and it represents 5 % of the outstanding balance at -, -. However, the problems do n't stop there because the company, Gateway Financial Services, sue me through the - district court of the State of Michigan this -/-/- for a value of $13000.00, where the balance was $10000.00 and the interest accrued was for a value of $3600.00. Unfortunately, I was transitioning my home, and I could not object the garnishment on time. Nowadays, I had been garnished my paycheck for a value that is more than the original monthly payment with them. Having this troubles and do n't understanding how to deal with this firm, I approach to a financial coach associated with - -. He suggested me to made this complaint through the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection because all the irregularities committed to Gateway Financial Services.
