I closed my Chase mileage card last year. At the time the service rep told me the annual member fee will be refunded, and I have no other balance on the card. I did not hear from Chase until earlier this year. I got a letter from Chase saying that my account was in significant delinquency, and was about to be charged off. After receiving the letter I called Chase, the service rep was able to see that the membership fee never got refunded, and meanwhile late payment fees was incurring. The service rep then told me that he would clear the account and also contact credit agencies. I check my credit score this morning ( a few months after the call ), the entry from Chase is still on my credit report. I call Chase and they told me they have to open another investigation for this matter. It seems like nothing gets done and meanwhile my credit score took a big hit. I am very disappointed in Chase.
