JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
I have had a large credit card balance for over 13 years. I have been making the minimum payment on time for the entire 13 years. I had requested help many times from Chase to help me get the balance under control. They refused to help by lowering the interest rate. The balance has been about $14000.00. Recently I realized Chase was paying down the 16.25 % interest bearing balance and adding the pay down amount to the 19.25 % interest bearing balance. The accounting trick was allowing Chase to add about $40.00 a month more in interest charges to the 19.25 % balance. So if I continued to make the minimum payment each month eventually the entire $14000.00 balance would be charged at the 19.25 % interest rate instead of the 16.25 % rate. When Chase can borrow from the Federal Reserve at less than 1.00 % how can they be legally be doing this to me. If this accounting trick is legal then someone needs to change the law.
