I had gotten a few months behind on my wells fargo loan, I originally asked for a forbearance which they said was accepted and would be in place until - 2014. It was never put in place. In - I called and setup automatic payments and a payment to pay my past due balance in full. I never heard anything from Wells Fargo after that until I received a letter stating that my loan was due in full and had defaulted. When I called the lady I spoke with said the person who took my account information for the payment missed a number in the account number so the payments never went through. I was never once notified of this and now I have set up monthly payments with them but they will not offer me any relief. I do n't feel I should have a defaulted loan on my credit report if I did not default it was the lenders mistake, but they said there is nothing they can do to fix it or help me.
