I opened an account with - Bank ( they are not even in Business anymore, they were sold to - Bank years ago ) in the mid -/-/-. I defaulted on that credit card in -/-/- and the debt was sold to -. I know this because of the statement I have now received from Convergent to collect this debt. They list - as the creditor. I have not had any transactions on this account since -/-/-. In Texas, you can not collect on a credit card after 4 years. I do not want Convergent adding themselves to my credit report 15 years after this debt was defaulted on.
