I had my credit report pulled for a mortgage application and when it was pulled, a collection for - ( - ) showed up on the report. The collection agency was listed as Stellar Recovery and the amount was for $170.00. Since the initial creditor was - ( - ), I called them and paid the balance of # - on - -, 2015. This closed my account and zeroed the balance. When I inquired about Stellar Recovery, I was informed that collections would no longer take place as my balance was now zeroed. However, it is -, and the collection remains on my credit report despite having a zero balance with - ( - -.
