I contacted BestBuy credit card to try to set up a payment plan with them after being 3 months late. I let them know that due to financial difficulties I have been unable to pay, but now I would like to set up a payment plan. I told them I can only afford about $30.00 a month for now and asked for a possible removing some of the late fees. After about - minutes of numerous questions they said the best they could do was about $85.00 a month for 6 months. I told them I am on a fixed budget since losing my business income and could not afford that payment. But I told them I would pay a payment of $30.00 each month. Unfortunately, I gave them permission to contact me by phone. This was the beginning of the month and I told him I only get paid -. So, after paying the $30.00 payment I told him to put the info. in the computer and not to call until next month. He said he could only stop the calls for 5 days, I told him again that my finances would not change until next month. Now they have been calling every day multiple times a day, which I feel is harassment. Sometimes they call - after another, although this is seldom it is very annoying. I believe they are purposefully doing it to irritate me into calling them. Can you help me in getting them to stop calling me and only contact me by mail from now on? I will contact them - when making a payment or possibly trying to increase payment when I can. But, That is the only phone conversation I wish to have, when I initiate it only.
