I noticed on my credit report that there was a strange addition of negative information, so I called the company listed. They identified themselves as BC Services upon my phone call on -/-/-. I asked what the debt was that they were reporting and they claimed to have called my number in -/-/-. I have no record of contact at that time, nor do I remember speaking to any debt collector. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the supervisor was aggressive. I told him that I would need further verification of the debt so I can make an informed decision as a consumer. I told him I would be sending a letter requesting more information and his reply was that I do not need to send a letter ... I can verify whatever you need over the phone. '' I proceeded to send the letter anyways so I could get the information I needed in writing. Today, -/-/- I received a letter in response which was - pages ( attached ) that tell me have no basis to verify both the debt, nor the information needed to verify BC Services right to collect on this debt. Their letter also indicated Enclosed are the statements provided by our client that confirm the charges ; '' however, the letter did not include any statements. They only list that the charge is from - - and each of the - pages indicates a different dollar amount. I feel that the creditor is trying to collect on a debt they do not have a legal right to collect on, based on the avoidance of submitting to me proof that they currently hold the debt and they have a legal right to collect on the creditor 's behalf.
