JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
I opened a new CC account on -/-/2015. It is a chase - - card. They arbitrarily ( apparently computer generated ) assigned a billing cycle closing date of -/-/2015, so that my first payment would be due on - -, instead of in late -. I called them on -/-/2015 at about -. They agreed to change my billing cycle going forward to the - of every month ( with another short cycle to - ) but would not change the current bill. This is very unfair. They ought to either inform me up front about this, or be required to give the full - day cycle. If they ca n't do that, then it should be a LONGER cycle for the - bill, not a shorter one. For example, in my case if they wanted to end my cycle on the - of every month, the - cycle should end on - -, for - days, not - -, for only -. I also purposefully wanted a cycle that allowed this payment due date to be later in the month. My main CC due dates are early in the month, and I thought this CC would come due later in the month, to spread the pain. '' Even though they changed it going forward, -/-/- will now be difficult for my budgeting.
