Some keeps calling from Allied Interstate that I can barely understand asking me if my last - of my SSN is -. It is not me, and even if it was, I would absolutely never answer that question on the phone to someone who calls me claiming to be somebody. There are scams going on everyday with caller ID spoofs etc. This should be a crime or against some laws. I feel threatened that my identity is not safe etc. These kinds of collection tactics are extremely distasteful and useless. They need to use a better approach as anyone who would let them know their last - of their SSN without verifying who they were giving it to on the phone is gullible.
