Wells Fargo Credit card department,
In - my monthly payment increased to $1.00. The billing department could not explain why. Since they did not receive the addtional $1.00, my payment was processed late and late fees plus interest charges were applied to the following month 's payment. This continued on for 4 month 's with compounding interest and late fees mounting. I have this account set up to pay the same amount every month through my banks bill payer. I should not have to review the paper statements every month to know what my payment is going to be although the gentleman I spoke to said it could fluctuate? I do n't use this card for anything, have made no other purchases on it. Why should my monthly payment fluctuate? This does not occur on my other credit cards. Now my charges have come to almost $300.00 in late fees and compounded interest over the past 4 month 's. This does not include the regular monthly payment. So in summary, they are now trying to collect almost $300.00 for a $1.00 short payment.
