Improper contact or sharing of info Contacted me instead of my attorney California

Today -/-/2015, I received a phone call from - claiming they are debt collector. I think it is a some sort of solicitation, because far as I know, I do n't have anything go into debt collection. I informed the guy immediately, I have an attorney, but he continue to pressure me to ask, if I am filing bankruptcy, even after I repeated about - times that I have an attorney, please contact the attorney directly. He was very forceful, and he claimed ignorance when I informed him that it is illegal to ask me questions when I already inform him that I am represented by an attorney. I asked for his information, I am not sure if he gave accurate information because he was very evasive. He claimed his number is -, name is - ( though he quickly said another name ) with operator number -, company - or something. I gave him my attorney information and hanged up, but I think it was a scam.
