RE : Credit Freeze Fee Charged - by EquifaxIn -, 2015 I requested a security freeze of my credit file along with a fee of $10.00, which is the fee for residents of California. Equifax erroneously claimed that I submitted an incorrect address and denied my request. Equifax nevertheless cashed my check. In -, 2015 I responded to Equifax by letter providing substantiation of my address and other identifying information and again requested a security freeze of my credit file along with another $10.00 fee. In the -, 2015 letter I requested a refund of my original $10.00 fee as I should not be charged - for freezing my credit file. I have attached images of the - cancelled checks. Please send me a refund of $10.00.
