PayPal Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card Texas
During my transaction with ebay.com/paypal, the checkout process is very deceptive and will sign you up for a paypal credit card in a deceptive manner. During the checkout process, the website will automatically default to the payment option of paypal credit '' which will make the buyer assume they have a credit sitting in their paypal account as I had. When you choose this method, it brings up a screen asking you to confirm your information. Still nothing really indicates you are signing up for a credit card. The feel of the website at this point makes it as if, for security reasons, they are confirming your information. Once you update '' your information, you are then brought to a congratulations '' screen indicating you have been approved for credit when again, all I was trying to do was use an existing balance I had within paypal. Given the nature of paypal 's business, most of their customers would assume they have a paypal credit '' as most of their clients do not know that paypal has now entered the consumer lending industry. Traditionally, they were an electronic payment vendor and this is what 95 % of their customer base, including myself, still see them as. Paypal should not abuse their relationship and take advantage of their customer with these deceptive practices. If most people knew they were signing up for a credit card with clear verbiage, they would not choose to do so. Please investigate this and put a stop to these deceptive practices that paypal has implemented.
