I also told her that I have only - -, and she replied your payment will be - '' If she would have told me the amount, or not covered by - 100 % I would not have gone there. After some time I started receiving call to demanding money. I kept telling that - told me that payment will be - so I am not going to make any payment so Firm went to collection agency, -. Collection agency stat writing threatening letters and wrote me that if I do not pay, it will be reported to credit bureaus. On -/-/- when I received my credit report. In spite of writing all explanation - collection agency ( and provided all documents ) reported to credit bureaus I think it is not ethical because collection agency should investigate -. I thought collection agency would investigate to find out what is the truth. It is not fair to report to credit bureaus without conducting investigation. What kind of protection consumers have? Is it fair to consumer to suffer because provided wrong information or it is it by law that collection agency destroy any body 's reputation? Is it not responsibility of collection agency to report its finding? Is not consumer protection agency main function to protect consumer? Please help me
