Debt collection false statements or representation attempted to collect wrong amount September 7, 2016 - In early 2016 I contacted Upstate Collection Center for an amount due on an account I had with the bank. The bank told me they sold the account to them. I spoke to a lady named - - who was in charge of the account. I informed her that I wanted to settle the account and if they would take $1500.00 to settle. She told me call me tomorrow and I will see if the bank will take that amount, which I found weird because the bank told me that they sold the account to them. When I called her the next day she said we can settle for - that is what the bank is asking for. I told her ok let me se... |
