They can not tell me why I still owe this money because I paid the debt I had with them from my GI bill benefits before I could start receiving benefits. Pioneer recovery has started collecting this debt. They 've added $500.00 in fees and are now garnishing my wages. I have read on the VA 's site that the Treasury Department is who collects any VA debts. Pioneer Recovery did n't give me any notice that they would be garnishing my wages. Not only do I not owe it, but it is from more than 17 years ago and the statute of limitations has passed. Not only is there no evidence or proof that I owe it, they refuse to acknowledge that they can not collect it and they refuse to stop sending me letters to my work and home when I have told them not to call my work phone and cell phone. Navient Debt collection false statements or representation impersonated an attorney or official April 21, 2015 - I have a non-tax, non-student loan debt through the U.S. State Department which was being collected by the U.S. Department of Treasury in which I had payment arrangements. Due to a change in their accounts receivable system in - I became lost in their system. My payments went uncashed, I stopped receiving statements and when I called, they could no longer locate my information.
