Applied for loan/did not receive money Ohio

I applied for a loan online. I had used this compan y two years prior, and I had not realized I had old bank information on the account, so the loan of $250.00 was sent to a closed account. I realized what happened the next day when the funds were not deposited to my current bank account. I contacted CashNetUSA immediately, and I was told not to worry, the receiving bank would reject the funds, they would get it back, and that loan would be considered null, since I couldn't/did n't receive the funds, and if I wanted the loan still, I would need to apply again after they received the funds back, and I supplied updated bank information. However, the funds were never credited back to my account. I emailed t he payday loan company again, and I was told they never received the money back, so I needed to contact my former bank. I did so, and I spoke with a woman at


- who investigated and told me the funds did attempt to deposit in my old account, but were rejected immediately back to CashNetUSA ( - - ). I then emailed this information to CashNetUSA, giving the banker 's name and phone number to verify this. This has been now going on for three weeks, where I continue to receive collection emails, and I continue to answer with the same information. The response I get is that the collections will continue until I pay the money back, ignoring completely that I never received the money, that - - has verified they rejected it back to CashNetUSA, and apparently CashNetUSA has no intention of tracking down what they did with the funds rejected back to them, but continue to add interest and continue collections.
