Incorrect information on credit report Information is not mine Illinois
There is an address that appears on - my credit reports. - - - -, IL. I have no idea where this is or who lives there, and I have no relatives or associates who have ever lived at that address. I have no idea how that got on my report, but it needs to come off and I do not know how. I am realizing I have been the victim of identity theft. There is a debt of over $2000.00 to - on my acct, and I 've never had a - acct due to my age and credit history. I 've always used pre paid phones, but there 's no way I had anything to do with that - acct. Is there any way to find out more about when and where it was opened, and where it was registerd? How many lines on the acct? I have another for - for like over a thousand, which I will dispute next. I do n't know if these are gon na stay on my reports, but this identity theft is really effecting my life right now and I do not know what to do to clear it up. It
I can pay all my other remarks tonight, that 's not even a big deal because they 're completely legitimate, but that fraudulant address and those debts have to go, because that was n't me. Also, there were a couple hard pulls I do n't recall, as well as emails I got from - and other legitimate banks discusssing loans and paperwork. I would always write back that I have n't taken out any loans and if someone is trying to its fraud, but now I do n't know if any went through for whoever is doing this, and they just are n't on my report yet. There 's no reason I should have this kind of debt, it 's not what I do, I do n't do debts, I pay for everything in cash and make more than enough to support my lifestyle, so I 'm not gon na be skipping out on cellphone bills and taking loans out left and right. Unpaid doctor bills is one thing, easily over looked, but no way in - should I be like $4000.00 in debt to - companies I did n't even have accounts with. I do n't know what to do at this point, is this one of those situations where I need to change my social and name just to fix my credit? I came on here to learn how to establish credit to secure a mortgage only to find out someones been defaulting on loans left and right in my name. I need help fixing this. Part of the problem is when I tried to dispute with -, they asked me about cards I had opened with agencies. Then about an auto loan, and its amount. I answered no to all because I never have had a credit card, and have never owned a car because I do not even have a license, let alone insurance. No vehicles should be registered in my name, let alone autoloans. Yet, after answering no to everything, - told me that I was giving them info that didnt match their files and wouldnt let me proceed with the disputes. So now I have no idea what to do. This person has stolen my identity so agressively, I ca n't even dispute it because I have no knowledge of the extent of the damages. How do I get a copy of - files since they say my answers dont match up, and I 'm livid. I can prove my identity through blood, dna, fingerprints, whatever it takes, theyre all on file. In fact, during some of the dates these accounts were allegedly opened, I was in prison. So this is definitely a case of fraud. What do I need to do to escalate this? I tried to do an - dispute one more time, and they started asking me about mortgages, cards, and loans I never took out or consented to. First time I 've heard of it. I 'll volunteer my personal time to pour thru these records they have of these loans and what not just to help track the person down, because right now they really are messing my life up, and they deserve to go to federal prison for this. I do n't even understand how this happened when I typically put freezes and alerts on my credit files.
