- sent a letter to TransUnion disputing a bankruptcy that is listed in my credit file requesting validation that it belongs to me. - received a letter from TransUnion stating that they " verified '' that the bankruptcy and that there would be no change, but did not provide proof used to validate that it belonged to me. - sent a letter to the US Bankruptcy Court requesting confirmation of what their procedure is for verifying records to credit reporting agencies. - received letter from the the US Bankruptcy Court stating that the Clerk 's Office does not report information to credit agencies. TransUnion found this information on third party research and did not get the information they are reporting from the courts as they do not verify information. Therefore the bankruptcy must be removed.
