Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Texas
On Friday -/-/2017 I had received a few calls from Lobel financial I was at work and they had been alternating and calling my cell and work number repeatedly. I called back to find out what the issue was and I was told to please hold and then I was transferred. The rep that answered starting by asking who I was I gave my name and advised that I had received several calls from them. She then asked who had possession of the -. I advised that I did and she asked where it was. I advised her that I had made a payment and she stated my check was returned. I looked at my account while on the line and advised her that no payment had come out as I tried to ask could we verify the info she started to tell me that I needed to give the location of my vehicle and that it was in repo status. This was the second time that the company had threatened that someone would be coming to pick up my car. I advised her that I had made a payment and that she had violated the FDCPA by failing to
same rude lady who hung up in my face each time. This happened twice more that day. I ended up calling back on Monday ( -/-/- ) and Tuesday ( -/-/- ) and receiving the same treatment where each time I asked for a manager I was transferred to the same lady who was not a manager and would hang up in my face. I called back a 3rd time that day on -/-/- and asked for a manager again as the rep was transferring me I said to him in so many words that it was in his and the companies best interest to get a manager I told him what had been happening and that he better get me an actual manager. After that he sis so and I spoke with a manager by the name of - I told her all that had happened and that I 'd like to find out what happened with the payment I asked that we verify the account info that they have for my bank because funds are available. She tells me she ca n't do that I say no problem and that I would like to pay now. She advises that their company does n't take debit in T- I tell her no problem I can use my checking info as the money is there. She says that she ca n't take a check from me because of the NSF I tell her there is no way that I have an NSF and that the funds are in my account she reviews my account and agrees that there is no NSF and says it looks like the account number may be mis-keyed. I say ok I would like to pay she says I ca n't pay by phone and that I would have to make a money gram payment I ask her how that makes sense that now I have to incur a fee to pay a bill that I already paid. She tells me that I can go to a branch in - Texas which is - miles one way from my home. Again I ask how is it ok to inconvenience me when I am willing to pay? She was apologetic but told me that this was the only way. I attempted to go to the branch when I left work but they were closed ( I get off at 5 and they close at 5 ) So I went online to money gram to pay and there is a - fee to make my payment. I do n't see how this is ok that I will either have to pay or take time off work to pay my bill. I also do n't know how Lobel thinks that it is proper to break the law in the course of collecting on several occasions they call me multiple times a day and leave me multiple messages. I have attempted to be kind and to be cooperative but the stress that this company is causing is ridiculous. I have the funds to pay and I will be mailing a money order on today as I will not be paying - or driving - miles.
