Citibank Credit card department,
I have been issued the VISA Platinum level credit card by CITI bank a few years ago. I have been currently out of the country since -/-/- and Citibank/credit card was informed about it. Unfortunately, without informing me or without any advance notice, the card has been blocked and I am unable to use the card while travelling, which causes a lot of problems for me. There is no reason for blocking my card and funds on the above card. I called the bank four times on -/-/-. The first representative informed me that the bank is changing cards ( from VISA to Masercard ) and that I would be receiving a new card " soon ''. I was also informed that I could still use the old card for 75 days. The bank employee confirmed, that if I tranferred my money to the old card I would be able to use it. I did that. Unfortunately, my card and my funds are still blocked by Citibank. I called Citibank again after my card was declined during attempt to pay a bill. I was informed that due to weekend my funds would be available on the next business day, that
number ). Finally I was connected and asked to speak with a suprevisor. In a pleasant conversation, the supervisor assuered me that I would be able to use the card after midnight, meaning on Tuesday ( -/-/- ). I have just tried to use the card today ( -/-/- ) however the situation continues, and the card is blocked by Citibank without my posibility of paying the essential bills including, but not limited to buying a plane ticket. The situation is outragous with the bank being fully aware of my travels abroad, sending some cards somewhere ( certainly not to me ) and blocking my old card preventing me form using it while travelling abroad and having limited access to any funds or banks. Moreover, on -/-/-, I received a call from Citibank employee telling me that my credit card bill is overdue and I am over the limit on the card, which is clearly not the truth as showed in the attached screen photo of my Citibank credit card webpage as of -/-/-.
