Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Over paid Synchrony Bank $1200.00 after a stop check payment failed to attach. Called Synchrony Bank on -/-/2017 and they said I had to wait 10 days for the overpayment check to clear and another 2 weeks to process reimbursement to me. I do n't understand why a financial institution would take two weeks to process reimbursement. It seems like it 's a great way for a financial institution to collect interest on money that does not belong to them. The women I spoke with did not provide any type of confirmation number to evidence that the request had been made and that reimbursement would follow according to schedule. I am submitting this complaint in the event other Synchrony Bank customers are experiencing similar delays and also to ensure that reimbursement will occur as promised.
