Improper use of my credit report Report improperly shared by CRC California
- working in conjunction with - Transunion and - requested my credit file be pulled and reviewed in a 'hard inquiry ' simply because someone got on-line and attempted to use my name, address and date of birth to apply for credit and/or a product or services. When contacting - to report fraud, they denied ordering a 'hard inquiry ' yet it does now appear as a 'hard inquiry ' initiated by - with my report being provided by the above - credit reporting agenices. My complaint and question is how can any person impersonate someone on-line by applying on-line for credit and large companies like - pulling my credit file before even verifying the party on-line is truly whom they claim to be? Should not the companies such as - do more preliminary work beofre being authorized someone 's credit file using a 'hard inquiry '?. Not only does this seem to be a breach of my identity but potentially could have led to further financial calamity on myself and my family. So now I am stuck with this hard inquiry that I never asked for and all - reporting agencies are saying there is nothing they can do about it and the inquiry must stay on my credit report. My request is that the - reporting agencies be required to remove this unauthorized hard inquiry from my credit file at once. And I also request that - be forced to review their on-line credit application process to prevent further incidents such as this. Best regards, - - --
