BYL COLLECTION SERVICES -. Has sent me a letter stating that they want me to pay a 50 % settlement for the amount of $130.00 and it looks like the original creditor was referenced as total -. Client account number is -. Unfortunately This BYL Collection Services is a third party collection company that up until this time has NEVER communicated with me. I did send them a letter via mail asking for validation of this debt by supplying to me the original signed contract between myself and - -. At this juncture I have not received anything stating their position that I owe them anything. I have never entered into a legal binding agreement with this company and do not owe them anything. The FCRA states that in section - I have the right to ask for and be supplied with the original documentation stating that i owe any such balance. Simply sending me an itemized bill or a letter offering me a settlement opportunity does not meet the requirements of the law. In my last letter to BYL I requested that all collection activities cease since no proof of validation was supplied to me and yet they continue trying to solicit me to pay them something that I do not owe them.
