Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.) Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt resulted from identity theft Florida
I received phone calls from Trident Asset Management looking to collect of a debt that was stemming from a 2014 case of ID theft. I explained to the contact there that that I had a documented case of IDT and it was reported to the major credit bureaus and filed police reports. I did not hear back from them for several months. I have recently been receiving demand letters from - - - of Trident Asset Management. I sent her a certified letter with a copy of my police report proving my claim of the false debt and am continuing to receive demand letters from her. Stating that if I do not respond in writing within 30 days they will consider the debt valid and have a judgement made against me. I keep responding and they keep sending me letter telling me that they are going to get a judgment.
