Checking account Account opening, closing, or management Florida
I opened a - checking at WellsFargo bank in - to use periodically. I explained to the rep who opened the account my intentions. I used the account as discussed and last use was - -. On Friday - -, - I logged into my account online only to see a notification my - checking was closed. No prior notification was given. I spoke to a rep the next morning who had no care or empathy for the matter. After several minutes of complaining she finally agrees to send my complaint over to an internal department. I just received that call back from an individual who says he does not have access to my account but the disclosure was given at account opening and they are not required to give me any further notice. He was not going to take any further steps to research the issue and they are unable to reopen the same account. I am a 15 year customer who refinanced my car and establish other business at WF that I now regret. These reps are disrespectful and the only solution is to open a new account. So they force close accounts in a very quick time frame only to then make you open a new one. Is this the new tactic to make it seem they are opening lots of new accounts? It appears WF should be investigated further. I will take my business else where.
