Credit line increase/decrease Missouri
I was ( closed my bank accounts in -/-/- ) a Wells Fargo customer for over 20+ years. I applied for a $10000.00 home equity loan over a year ago and was declined, however they said I was already approved for a $10000.00 credit card. I took the credit card with zero interest for one year. They upped my credit limit to $13000.00, and then to $16000.00 without me asking for increases. I now have a $13000.00 balance at 27 % interest and tried to pay down the balance with my bank account. I made a $10000.00 electronic payment on -/-/- and received a confirmation letter from Wells Fargo ( via mail ) and my bank account has been reduced. On -/-/- I requested my credit limit be reduced to $5000.00 ( I have a $3000.00 balance ) and I asked to have the reduced credit limit reported to the credit bureaus. I was told I had to wait 3 days for the payment to clear before I could reduce my credit limit. Today is -/-/- and I called today to request my credit limit to be reduced, and I was told my payment had not cleared and again I could not reduce my credit limit. I am fed up with the inappropriate banking practices of Well Fargo. I want my credit limit reduced to $5000.00, and I want my interest rate to be reduced to around 11 % ( like my other cc account ), and I want all of this immediately reported to the credit bureaus. Not too much to ask!!! Wells Fargo needs to be closed by the govt and all executive officers punished, not just in -, - - -, - - -
